Around The Barn.....
Once inside, you never know what you'll see on any given day. With 18 stalls and a sandy alley way, it could be a horse being shod, a horses first saddling, (or impromptu rodeo!) or a rainy day riding lesson. Friends stop by for the latest horse yarn or team roping results. "Can ya catch that old cow for me?" is often heard, or "Let's rope!" is music to HP's ears....
HP doing what he's done billions and billions of times before....
We get a lot of joy (and a lot of fertilizer) out of the critters we keep around here. I have raised some six-toed cats called Polydactyl,or just mitten paws to us.(FACT: Hemingway had 60 cats, many of them six-toed!) Twiggy the pot-bellied pig is a zero maintanence pet. Ellie Mae the remarkable pig is an oats vacuum cleaner. Dot-dot the dog(half Catahoula, quarter heeler, quarter australian shephard) is your shadow, whether cleaning stalls or out for a ride. Last but not least, Hank the Cowdog, head of ranch security.

We will be posting updates and new photos often, so don't be a stranger! Come back and visit again, and don't forget to put your boots on!
As time at our ranch marches on, unfortunately we have lost some of our critter pals. The coyotes have nearly eliminated my mitten-paw cats, but I'm working on increasing my "herd".  It's still a zoo around here. I don't have any of our chickens posted, but sure like having them around for bug control. And you just can't beat a farm-fresh egg!
And this is our rotten little Jack Russell Terrier, Benny. Truly nothing like we've ever had as a pet.  Kind of like a perpetual two year old child. This kind of dog is not for everyone! We have lots of room and things for him to do. Don't take ownership of a Jack Russell lightly-do some research on the breed first. We love him!
